Robert "Moose" Cobb

Robert “Moose” Cobb started coming to Georgetown County in 1982 and moved to South Carolina full-time in 2024, obtaining his South Carolina real estate license in 2025.

 Moose was born in Washington DC and grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and from George Washington University law school, earning cum laude honors at each institution.  

Moose began his real estate career with Going Coastal Realty in Georgetown, where he managed a portfolio of rental properties and represented multiple buyers in home purchases. Now with Peace Sotheby’s International Realty, Moose represents buyers and sellers in fulfilling their vision for real estate ownership in Georgetown and Georgetown County.

 Prior to becoming a Realtor, Moose had a 36 year legal career in private practice and in government. In January 2001, Moose was appointed by President George W. Bush to be Associate Counsel to the President where he served as the White House’s ethics lawyer, among other responsibilities. In April 2002, he was appointed by President Bush to be the Inspector General of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and he held that position for the next seven years.

Moose is a tennis player and enjoys pickleball, golf and fishing. He has three adult sons and lives with his wife in Georgetown.
