I grew up in Maine, where my love for the outdoors, fishing, and—most of all—horses began. At 13, I got my first horse, and that passion grew into a 22-year career as a large animal veterinarian. Those years of hard work and long hours taught me the value of dedication and the joy of helping both animals and their owners. As the industry evolved, I eventually made the decision to close my practice.
When my husband, David, retired early, we decided to follow our hearts to South Carolina—a place we had always loved. In 2022, we made Surfside Beach our permanent home, and we’ve never looked back.
Real estate became a natural second career for me, building on our experience flipping homes, managing my veterinary office’s commercial building, and investing in short-term rentals. Since becoming licensed in 2022, I’ve closed around 60 properties with approximately $20 million in sales.
Giving back remains important to me. Last October, I joined hurricane relief efforts in Western North Carolina, assisting with Savage Freedoms in a veterinary role, and I proudly support Samaritan’s Purse as well.
I’m often teased for working too much—but the truth is, I love what I do. Still, I make time for life’s highlights, like an annual father-daughter fishing trip to Alaska, acrylic painting, live music with friends, and relaxing with David at the beach or by the pool.
